Objectives: Evaluation, improvement, adaptation, and integration of algorithms for the various components and development of the Digital Twin, which is the core of DT-Agro.

Description of Work: WP2 includes all the work related to the core of the project and the achievement of the overall objective, which is the development of the Digital Twin. As it is described in more detail in the methodology section, DT-Agro will be built around an in-house developed, entirely spatially distributed, continuous agro-hydrological model. This WP will evaluate, improve, adapt, and integrate simplified but robust algorithms for the simulation of nutrients and carbon balance, soil erosion, and crop growth and production in AgroHydroloLogos code. In parallel, will attempt to enhance the computational efficiency of the algorithms to make feasible the application DT-Agro in large areas and in fine spatial resolution and it will adapt DT-Agro algorithms and interface to be directly compatible with the EO data inputs as well as future inputs from sensors networks IOT etc.
